Tom Chawanais the principal and project manager of GOING FORWARD, INC., where he is responsible for day-to-day operations, including marketing, supervising the administrative team, and management of all the municipal projects. Tom is notably recognized for achievements in contract negotiation, administration management, and the facilitation of construction documentation requirements, as well as actually controlling the construction management team.  Tom works in conjunction with GFI’s quality control team toexpediteproject completion to the satisfaction and financial benefit of all parties concerned.  While building a strong working partnership with each client, Tom’s accomplishments include restaurants, hospitals, post offices, residential housing, municipal projects, schools and commercial building projects.

Prior to the formation of GOING FORWARD, INC., Tom Chawanaserved as project manager consultant to USPS and the federal government. Tom was also a principal of A.D.C. International Inc., a general contracting organization responsible for the construction of numerous medical facilities, educational institutions, municipal facilities, and USPS projects. With more than twenty years in the construction industry, Tom has been an instrumental force in erecting turnkey projects both in the United States and internationally.
 
Always generous in matters of minority concerns, Tom served of the Dallas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce until 2001, representing the body in the capacity of Chairman of International Affairs since 1989.  Tom functioned as Chairman of the Asian Charity Ball 1991 and is currently Vice-Chairman of the Asian American Voters Coalition.
 
Tom Chawana immigrated to the United Stated from Bangkok, Thailand in 1968. He received a Associate of Arts in Liberal Art from Henderson County Junior College in 1974, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1977 from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Mayra Castillo assists in the development of project proposals, cost estimates and budgets, timelines and schedules; development of electronic and written materials for project management proposals, presentation and status updates.

Responsible for maintaining document control and logging each of the following: Request for Information (RFI), Submittals, Change Order Proposals, Change Orders, RFI Logs, Submittals Logs, Addenda Logs.

 Mayra Castillo earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2010 from the University of Texas at Arlington. 

Ben Henderson is the on-site construction supervisor who efficiently gets the project done on time and within the budget.  His sphere of expertise encompasses blueprint fluency, permit processing, as well as extensive building codes and inspections license.  The U.S Navy provided Ben extensive training in the maintenance and repair of fixed winged aircraft for which he is certified.

Facilitate processing of RFI’s, submittals, and management of crews on DFW airport for both demolition and remodeling.

Vision Quest DesignGroup- Frisco, Texas
Charged with the construction of all aspects of interior/exterior projects.  Designed and created blueprints for all the residential and commercial projects.  Management project from bidding to turnkey.

Henderson Construction- Hopatcong, New Jersey.
Responsibilities included: Hiring, training, marketing, competitive bidding and the coordination of management, crews and homeowners.
